Our Founder
Rev Paris Reidhead
Our founder, Rev Paris Reidhead, believed that by the 1960’s there were substantial developments to make the overseas mission church self governing and self-propagating, but the efforts to help the local church become self-supporting were lacking. endPoverty was born from a vision to support the local church to become self-sustaining. It was clear that poverty and unemployment were and still are major limiting factors to transferring the capacity for the indigenous church to financially sustain itself and its vision of outreach. Thus, the journey to help believers establish or expand income producing enterprises began.
Since 1985 endPoverty has worked in 47 countries investing over $30m in the lives of the hardworking poor, empowering them to bring spiritual and economic transformation to their families and communities.
Micro businesses are a vehicle to fulfill our vision of seeing spiritually and economically transformed communities. The ministry of job creation benefits families and churches in developing countries, enabling them through work to support themselves, their pastors and outreach.
