endPoverty Devotional: Blessed to be a Blessing

Easter serves as both a celebration of hope, and a reminder of God’s eternal love. Apart from enjoying the festivities during Spring, as Christians, we spend the time reflecting on the ultimate sacrifice – Jesus’s death and resurrection.

Throughout Jesus’s life, His primary goal was to reveal God’s love by how he lived. He came as a man to proclaim the good news, serve, heal and set the captives free.

As the certainty of God’s goodness forms the core of our theology, everything else is defined by it, and it determines both who we are and how we live. Observing His generosity alters our demeanor.

As Christians, we now have the honor of exemplifying God’s goodness to others. We have the opportunity to convey the Father’s heart in a way that people can taste and experience the goodness of God.

We have seen this goodness through the seeds you have sown into our ministry of job creation and ending poverty. Regardless of what is happening in the world or the trials we face, we know that it will turn out for His glory.

Knowing this frees us from depending on our own strength and trusting the work Jesus did on the cross. As this season of Easter elaborates the grace of our Lord Jesus, it helps us recognize His goodness; discovering God’s unconditional love for us.

We pray that the primary lens through which you see life is shaped by the hope of Christ so that you’ll always be encouraged.

Wishing you a wonderful Easter.
